Hello!
As I dive into the rhythm of work, I've realized that adaptability is key. This week commenced with a little deviation from our initial plan – the much-anticipated field visit. Slated to start last Wednesday, the visit had to be postponed due to scheduling conflicts with our local team. However, every cloud has a silver lining, and we've now planned to visit Pune and Satara in Maharashtra. Pune, with its urban vibrancy, and Satara, with its rustic charm, have been chosen to provide us with contrasting urban and rural data points. In both districts, our focus group discussions will be bifurcated into two groups based on age: the younger alumni aged 18-29 and the senior group aged 30 and above. This deliberate distinction aims to delve deeper into the differing motivations for continuing education, which varies significantly between these age brackets.
However, on a slightly somber note, our mobilization interview exercise is on a temporary hiatus. We're pausing to ensure alignment of objectives within the program team. The goal is to ensure the outcome we derive from the exercise benefits the program.
Though there's a slight pause in professional commitments, my personal adventures in Delhi continue unhindered. The weekend was a delightful gastronomic journey as I discovered some exquisite eateries in South Delhi, with friends from HKS. My Sunday found me amidst the vibrant stalls of Dilli Haat, where I picked up souvenirs for my mother. And speaking of her, she's visiting me in just a fortnight! Needless to say, the excitement is palpable.
As always, I am eagerly waiting to share more snippets from my journey, and I remain thankful for the constant support and readership.
Warm regards,
Safira
