Hello!
It's hard to believe that the internship journey I have been narrating over these past few blog posts has come to an end. What a whirlwind of experiences, lessons, and connections it has been! These last days have been packed with final presentations, discussions, and goodbyes, as I prepare to head back to Boston.
My final presentation unfolded remotely, owing to my upcoming departure. Despite the geographical distance, the energy and interaction felt as vibrant as if I were in the room. It was an excellent opportunity to review what we've accomplished together over these past two months. I was glad to see the wider Second Chance team engaged and appreciative of the work done, making it a perfect culmination of my time here.
This was not just an end but a new beginning for the Second Chance program. We have laid down the groundwork for a robust measurement tool that promises to carry the program's impact analysis to new heights. And so, in the truest sense, it is an end that leads to several new beginnings.
As for goodbyes, the team organized a surprise farewell event for me. The word 'surprise' hardly does justice to how genuinely touching and thoughtfully arranged it was. I can't put into words the blend of emotions I felt—grateful, nostalgic, and hopeful for what the future holds for all of us.
Looking back, my internship with Pratham has exceeded all expectations. It was a unique blend of professional development, social impact, and personal growth. It's incredible how much one can absorb in just two months when you're part of a motivated team and working for a cause that stirs your soul. To the entire team at Pratham and the Second Chance program, thank you for making this experience so enriching.
As I prepare to take off for Boston, I carry with me not just knowledge and experience, but a piece of each individual I've interacted with. My heart is full of gratitude, and I look forward to the day when our paths may cross again.
Until then, signing off with a heart full of thanks and a mind buzzing with inspiration!
Warm regards,
Safira
